Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Spoon into prepared baking dish. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until center is set.
Tips for Making Popcorn Stuffing:
- Use fresh, fluffy popcorn. Stale popcorn will not yield the best results.
- Choose your bread wisely. A sturdy bread, such as French bread or sourdough, will hold up well in the stuffing.
- Don't overcook the celery and onion. They should be softened, but still have a bit of crunch.
- Add moisture to the stuffing. Chicken broth or melted butter will help to keep the stuffing moist.
- Season the stuffing to taste. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are all good options.
- Bake the stuffing until it is golden brown and crispy. This will help to ensure that the stuffing is cooked through.
Conclusion:
Popcorn stuffing is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover popcorn, and it can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like it simple or loaded with vegetables and herbs, popcorn stuffing is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
