1 jalapeno, sliced
1/2 head green cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 head purple cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon butter
16 corn tortillas, warmed according to the package instructions
Pico de gallo
Avocado slices
Sour cream
Grated pepper jack cheese

  • Use fresh popcorn shrimp. Frozen shrimp can be used, but fresh shrimp will give you the best results. Popcorn shrimp is typically sold in the frozen food section of grocery stores.
  • Make sure to season the shrimp before dredging. This will help to give the shrimp more flavor. The recipe includes a simple seasoning blend of salt, pepper, and garlic powder, but you can also add other spices to taste.
  • Use a light touch when dredging the shrimp. You don't want to weigh the shrimp down with too much breading.
