Tips:

  • Use ripe peaches: For the best flavor, use ripe, juicy peaches. If your peaches are not quite ripe, you can ripen them by placing them in a paper bag at room temperature for a few days.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the cobbler tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a 9x13 inch baking dish: This is the standard size for a cobbler. If you use a larger or smaller dish, the cobbler will not cook evenly.
  • Bake the cobbler until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This will take about 30-40 minutes.

Conclusion:

This poor man's peach cobbler is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and it can be ready in under an hour. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy dessert, give this poor man's peach cobbler a try.
