POMEGRANATE PASSION SMOOTHIE

Pomegranate Passion Smoothie image

Pomegranate juice is packed with antioxidants. With all the refrigerated pomegranate juice in the stores now, you don't have to squeeze the living daylights out of each little pom' nugget yerself. ;) Often stores will carry this bottled juice in the produce department. I love the ease of smoothies, especially in my Magic Bullet, which is smaller and less cumbersome than a blender. Recipe is courtesy of Stonyfield Farm.

Time 2m

Yield 2 tall glasses

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
2 bananas, peeled
1 cup frozen blueberries

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender, and puree on high until smooth.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe pomegranates for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh pomegranates, you can use frozen or canned pomegranate arils.
  • If you don't have a high-powered blender, you can use a regular blender, but you may need to add a little more liquid to get a smooth consistency.
  • For a thicker smoothie, use less liquid. For a thinner smoothie, use more liquid.
  • Feel free to adjust the ingredients to your liking. For example, if you like a sweeter smoothie, you can add more honey or maple syrup. If you like a tarter smoothie, you can add more lime juice.
  • To make a vegan smoothie, use a plant-based milk such as almond milk or soy milk. You can also use a yogurt alternative such as coconut yogurt or cashew yogurt.

Conclusion:

The pomegranate passion smoothie is a delicious and refreshing way to start your day or cool off on a hot afternoon. It's packed with nutrients and antioxidants, and it's a great way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. Plus, it's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a healthy and delicious smoothie, give the pomegranate passion smoothie a try.
