Tips:
- Use room temperature butter. This will help the cookies spread evenly and create a more tender texture.
- Chill the dough before baking. This will help prevent the cookies from spreading too much and will also give them a more defined polka dot pattern.
- Use a toothpick or skewer to make the polka dots. Be sure to press down all the way to the bottom of the cookie dough.
- Bake the cookies until the edges are just beginning to brown. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
- Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and texture.
Conclusion:
Polka dot cookies are a fun and easy treat to make for any occasion. They're perfect for bake sales, potlucks, or just as a sweet snack. With a few simple tips, you can make sure your polka dot cookies turn out perfectly every time.
