COPYCAT LITTLE CAESAR'S PRETZEL CRUST PIZZA

Copycat Little Caesar's Pretzel Crust Pizza image

In our house, we love pizza and pretzel bread! When Little Caesar's came out with their pretzel crust pizza, we fell in love but also knew it was unrealistic to be buying it all the time. The next best thing was to make it ourselves, and it came out even better than the restaurant's version! This thick-crusted copycat pizza is bound to blow your socks off! Hope you enjoy! -Mary Lou Timpson, Centennial Park, Arizona

PIZZA WITCHES I

These were my favorite thing at school. This was an old school lunch recipe and they no longer serve these anymore, so I was lucky to get the recipe.

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 40m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can tomato soup, undiluted
1 teaspoon oregano
1 dash garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 lb American cheese, cubed
1 -2 package hamburger bun

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger and onion, drain, stir in remaining ingredients and then cheese until melted.
  • Put on hamburger buns and cook at 325 for about 8 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Dough: The foundation of a great pizza is the dough. Use high-quality bread flour or all-purpose flour and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before shaping. For a crispy crust, use less water in the dough.
  • Use Fresh, High-Quality Ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the pizza. Use fresh vegetables, quality cheese, and flavorful sauce.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pizza: When adding toppings, less is more. Avoid overloading the pizza, as this will make it soggy and difficult to cook evenly.
  • Bake the Pizza at a High Temperature: For a crispy crust, bake the pizza at a high temperature (around 450°F) for a short amount of time (10-12 minutes).
  • Use a Pizza Stone or Baking Steel: These tools help distribute heat evenly and give the pizza a crispy crust.
  • Experiment with Different Toppings: The possibilities are endless when it comes to pizza toppings. Get creative and try different combinations to find your favorites.

Conclusion:

With these tips in mind, you can create delicious and authentic pizzas at home. Whether you prefer a classic Margherita or a more adventurous combination, the key is to use fresh ingredients and bake the pizza at a high temperature. So, gather your ingredients, preheat your oven, and get ready to enjoy a homemade pizza that rivals your favorite pizzeria. Happy baking!
