1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons ((7oz/187g) water, roughly )
1 tablespoon olive oil
5 minute pizza sauce

fresh oregano, (or fresh herbs of your choice, for garnish)

  • Using a wooden spoon, or your hands, mix until the dough should be soft, but not sticky. Add a splash more water if your dough is too dry.
  • Lightly flour your work area and a rolling pin then roll dough into a 12-inch circle using your hands (to make 2 smaller pizzas, divide the dough into 2 and roll into 2 8 inch pizzas).
  • Transfer the pizza base to a nonstick pizza base or large baking tray. Spoon the 5 Minute Pizza Sauce over the pizza base. Cover generously with a layer of cheese, pepperoni, and fresh oregano.

NO-YEAST PIZZA DOUGH

No-Yeast Pizza Dough image

The remarkable thing about this easy pizza dough is that it contains no yeast -- and no yeast means no waiting. The pizza takes about 20 minutes from start to finish, and comes out fluffy and crisp on the bottom.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 20m

Yield 3 to 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 tablespoon coarse cornmeal
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons olive oil
Assorted pizza toppings such as sauce, shredded cheese, meat and vegetables, as desired

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack about 8 inches from the broiler element and preheat the broiler.
  • Combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda in a food processor and pulse to combine. With the motor running, add 1/2 cup water and process, scraping down the sides as needed, until the flour is incorporated and the dough comes together to form a ball that is still slightly sticky.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and your hands. Form the dough into a neat ball between your hands and put on the work surface. Sprinkle with flour and roll into a 10-inch circle.
  • Spread the olive oil in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet to cover the bottom. Put the dough in the skillet and flip so both sides are coated in oil. Top with the desired toppings.
  • Put the skillet over high heat and cook for 5 minutes, then transfer to the boiler and cook until the cheese is melted and golden, about 4 minutes.

PIZZA DOUGH (WITH NO YEAST)

Pizza Dough (With No Yeast) image

I like this recipe because it's simple and uses ingredients I always have on hand. I got it from my dad, I can't say for sure where it originally came from, but maybe from a Betty Crocker cookbook. This dough also works well for making meat pies.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Flour: All-purpose flour works best for this no-yeast, no-egg pizza dough. Bread flour or high-gluten flour can make the dough tough.
  • Activate the Baking Soda: Adding a small amount of lemon juice or vinegar to the milk helps activate the baking soda, resulting in a softer, airier dough.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Mix the dough just until it comes together. Overmixing can make the dough tough and chewy.
  • Let the Dough Rest: Allow the dough to rest for at least 30 minutes before shaping and baking. This helps the dough develop flavor and makes it easier to work with.
  • Use a Pizza Stone or Baking Sheet: For a crispy crust, bake the pizza on a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Add Your Favorite Toppings: Once the pizza dough is baked, add your favorite pizza toppings and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Conclusion:

This no-yeast, no-egg pizza dough is a versatile and easy-to-make recipe that can be used to create delicious homemade pizzas. With just a few simple ingredients and a little time, you can enjoy a delicious, crispy pizza right from your own kitchen. So gather your ingredients, preheat your oven, and let's get baking!
