ALREADY FOR MEATLOAF PINWHEEL

Already for Meatloaf Pinwheel image

As a single working mother of three growing boys, I was always looking for good "make ahead" recipes.. I found this one and it was a winner. A lot of times, I would make it the night before and call the boys to "slice and bake" so it would be ready when I got home..The recipe calls for CheezWhiz for the cheese spread. Recipe prep time does not include rice preparation or chill time.(you can use leftover rice)

Tips for Making Pinwheel Meatloaf:

- Choose the Right Meat: Select a combination of ground beef and pork for a flavorful and juicy meatloaf. You can also use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option. - Proper Seasoning: Season the meat mixture generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. You can also add your favorite herbs and spices, such as thyme, rosemary, or sage. - Use Fresh Vegetables: Finely chop carrots, celery, and onions for the filling. Fresh vegetables add flavor and texture to the meatloaf. - Spread the Filling Evenly: When assembling the pinwheel, spread the filling evenly over the meat mixture. This ensures that each slice of meatloaf has a good amount of filling. - Roll the Meatloaf Tightly: Roll the meatloaf tightly to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking. Use plastic wrap to help you roll the meatloaf evenly. - Bake at the Right Temperature: Bake the pinwheel meatloaf at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). - Let it Rest: After baking, let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute and makes the meatloaf easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Pinwheel meatloaf is an easy-to-make yet impressive dish that is perfect for special occasions or everyday meals. With its combination of savory meat, flavorful filling, and attractive pinwheel design, it is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
