Tips:

  • Use ripe, fresh pineapples for the best flavor. If using canned pineapple, be sure to drain it well and pat it dry.
  • Use a round cutter to cut the pineapple rings. This will help them cook evenly and look more uniform.
  • If you don't have a round cutter, you can use a sharp knife to cut the pineapple rings. Just be sure to cut them evenly.
  • Be careful not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the doughnuts tough.
  • Heat the oil to the correct temperature before frying the doughnuts. The oil should be between 350°F and 375°F.
  • Fry the doughnuts in small batches so that they don't crowd each other in the pan.
  • When the doughnuts are finished frying, drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Dip the doughnuts in the glaze while they are still warm. This will help the glaze stick better.

Conclusion:

Pineapple upside-down doughnuts are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion.
