salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • In a wok or a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, swirling to coat the sides of wok.
  • Pour in eggs, tilting pan to coat; cook just until the eggs are set; remove from pan and allow to cool slightly then cut into pieces.

Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple. Fresh pineapple has a brighter flavor and more nutrients than canned pineapple.
  • Choose a good-quality rice. A long-grain rice, such as basmati or jasmine, will work best in this recipe.
  • Cook the rice according to the package directions. Be sure to rinse the rice before cooking to remove any starch.
  • Use a large skillet or Dutch oven to cook the dish. This will give the rice and other ingredients plenty of room to cook evenly.
  • Cook the ham until it is browned on all sides. This will help to develop its flavor.
  • Add the pineapple, vegetables, and sauce to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender. Be sure to stir the mixture frequently to prevent it from burning.
  • Serve the dish hot with a side of green salad or steamed vegetables.

Conclusion:

Pineapple ham and rice is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham. With its sweet and tangy flavor, this dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
