PINEAPPLE BREAD CASSEROLE

My family's holiday staple. We rarely had a holiday meal without this on the table. This is an excellent side to Ham, but goes well with turkey to. It comes out similar to a bread pudding. You can sub prepackaged bread cubes, just try and eyeball 6 slices worth.

Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple: Fresh pineapple chunks provide a more intense flavor and texture compared to canned or frozen pineapple. If you don't have fresh pineapple on hand, you can substitute one 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple, drained.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can result in a tough, dense casserole. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a 9x13 inch baking dish: This is the standard size for a pineapple bread casserole. If you use a smaller dish, the casserole will be thicker and may take longer to bake.
  • Bake the casserole until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This usually takes about 45 minutes, but it may vary depending on your oven.

Conclusion:

Pineapple bread casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. It's perfect for potlucks and holiday gatherings. With its sweet and tangy flavor, pineapple bread casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
