1 1/2 ounces coconut rum (Malibu)
2 cups crushed ice

Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple: Fresh pineapple chunks or slices give pina colada wedges their signature flavor. Avoid using canned or frozen pineapple, as they will not provide the same taste and texture.
  • Choose a high-quality coconut cream: Not all coconut creams are created equal. Look for a brand that is thick and creamy, with a rich coconut flavor. Avoid using coconut milk, as it is thinner and less flavorful.
  • Use a good-quality rum: The rum you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your pina colada wedges. Choose a light or white rum that is smooth and flavorful. Avoid using a dark or spiced rum, as they can be too overpowering.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can result in tough, dense wedges. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the wedges at a high temperature: This will help them to rise and become crispy on the outside while remaining soft and moist on the inside.

Conclusion:

Pina colada wedges are a delicious and refreshing treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are looking for a sweet snack or a tropical-inspired dessert, pina colada wedges are sure to please.
