Categories     Pineapple

Time 10m

Yield 2 1/2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 (8 ounce) cartons plain yogurt
1 (4 ounce) package sugar-free vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 teaspoon coconut extract
1 teaspoon rum extract
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
fresh fruit, cut into bite-size pieces (such as pineapple, apple, mandarin orange, strawberries, grapes, etc.)

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, blend yogurt and pudding mix; stir in pineapple and extracts.
  • Fold in whipped topping.
  • Cover.
  • Refrigerate until serving time.
  • Serve with fresh fruit.

Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple for the best flavor. Fresh pineapple is sweeter and juicier than canned pineapple.
  • If you don't have fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple. Just be sure to drain the pineapple well before using it.
  • Use a good quality coconut cream. Coconut cream is the thick, creamy part of coconut milk. It's what gives piña colada dip its rich, creamy flavor.
  • If you don't have coconut cream, you can use coconut milk. Just be sure to reduce the amount of milk by half.
  • Add a little bit of lime juice to brighten up the flavor of the dip.
  • Serve the dip with pineapple chunks, coconut flakes, or maraschino cherries. These toppings will add a tropical flair to the dip.
  • Piña colada dip can be made ahead of time. Just cover it and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours.

Conclusion:

Piña colada dip is a delicious and easy-to-make tropical dip that's perfect for any party or gathering. It's made with fresh pineapple, coconut cream, and cream cheese, and it has a sweet and tangy flavor that everyone will love. Serve it with pineapple chunks, coconut flakes, or maraschino cherries, and enjoy!
