Number Of Ingredients 9

pre-made pie crust
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup milk
4 eggs (beaten)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 T. butter/margarine
10 oz. spinach (cooked, drained & chopped)
1 cup swiss cheese
6 strips bacon (cooked & chopped)

Steps:

  • Pre-bake pastry. Heat cream cheese and milk on low heat until smooth. Add to eggs, mix. Saute onions in margarine. Add to mixture alongwith remaining ingredients. Bake @ 350 for 35-40 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality pie crust. You can use a store-bought or homemade pie crust. If you are using a store-bought crust, be sure to thaw it according to the package directions.
  • Blind bake the pie crust. This will help to prevent the crust from becoming soggy. To blind bake the crust, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line the pie crust with parchment paper and fill it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Use fresh ingredients. The fresher the ingredients, the better the quiche will taste. Be sure to use fresh eggs, milk, and vegetables.
  • Don't overmix the filling. Overmixing the filling will make the quiche tough. Stir the ingredients together just until they are combined.
  • Bake the quiche until it is set. The quiche is done when it is no longer jiggly in the center. A toothpick inserted into the center of the quiche should come out clean.

Conclusion:

Philly Brunch Quiche is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is easy to make and can be customized with your favorite ingredients. With a little planning, you can have a delicious quiche on the table in no time.
