These sandwiches are delicious. I purchase steak that has been sliced for making stir-fry, which takes a little less time, but achieves the same results.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef. For this recipe, you'll want to use a lean cut of beef, such as flank steak, skirt steak, or top round steak. These cuts are relatively inexpensive and will cook quickly.
  • Slice the beef thinly. The thinner you slice the beef, the more tender it will be. Aim for slices that are about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Marinate the beef. Marinating the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion powder will help to tenderize it and add flavor.
  • Cook the beef quickly. Philly beef squares are best when cooked quickly over high heat. This will help to keep the beef tender and juicy.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is an important part of this recipe, so be sure to use a good quality cheese that melts well. Some good options include cheddar, provolone, and mozzarella.
  • Serve the Philly beef squares immediately. These squares are best served immediately after they are cooked, while the cheese is still melted and gooey.

Conclusion:

Philly beef squares are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can be made ahead of time and reheated just before serving. With a few simple tips, you can make Philly beef squares that are sure to impress your friends and family.
