Tips:

  • Use fresh pumpkin puree. Fresh pumpkin puree gives the bars a more intense pumpkin flavor. If you don't have fresh pumpkin puree, you can use canned pumpkin puree, but be sure to drain it well before using.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bars until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This will ensure that the bars are cooked through.
  • Let the bars cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting to set properly.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also store the bars in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Peter Peter Pumpkin Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make fall treat. With a moist pumpkin cake base and a creamy cream cheese frosting, these bars are sure to be a hit with everyone. They're perfect for potlucks, parties, or just enjoying at home with your family.
