Categories     Phyllo/Puff Pastry Dough

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated original biscuits
1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce
2 cups finely shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
16 slices pepperoni (1 1/2 inch)

Steps:

  • 1. CUT each biscuit into 8 pieces; toss with pizza sauce and 1 cup of the cheese. 2. SPREAD in sprayed 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish. Top with pepperoni and remaining 1 cup cheese. 3. BAKE at 375°F 22 to 28 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Tips:

  • To ensure your pizza crust is crispy and golden brown, preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach before baking.
  • If you don't have pizza dough on hand, you can use a store-bought flatbread or even a tortilla as a base for your pepperoni pizza bake.
  • To prevent the pepperoni from curling up and drying out, place it on the pizza in a single layer and press it down gently.
  • If you like your pizza with a little extra spice, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or chili powder to the sauce before baking.
  • For a cheesy, gooey pizza, use a combination of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  • If you want to add additional toppings to your pizza, such as vegetables or cooked meat, be sure to do so before baking.
  • Bake the pizza until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. This usually takes about 10-12 minutes.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help to prevent the cheese from sticking to the knife.

Conclusion:

Pepperoni pizza bake is a quick and easy meal that is perfect for busy weeknights. It is also a great way to use up leftover pizza dough or flatbread.
