Tips:

  • Sear the pork: Searing the pork before adding it to the stew will help to develop its flavor and create a richer, more complex sauce.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This recipe calls for carrots, celery, and onions, but you can also add other vegetables that you like, such as potatoes, green beans, or mushrooms.
  • Brown the vegetables: Before adding the vegetables to the stew, brown them in a little bit of oil. This will help to caramelize them and enhance their flavor.
  • Use a good quality stock: The stock you use will make a big difference in the flavor of the stew. Use a stock that is made with real meat or vegetables, rather than a bouillon cube.
  • Simmer the stew for at least 1 hour: This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. You can simmer the stew for longer if you like, but be careful not to overcook the pork.
