Tips for Making Peking Pork Chops in a Slow Cooker:

  • Choose high-quality pork chops: Opt for bone-in, thick-cut pork chops for the best flavor and texture.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is key to infusing the pork chops with delicious flavors. Make sure to use a combination of aromatic ingredients like ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and honey.
  • Cook the pork chops on low heat: Slow cooking helps tenderize the pork chops and allows the flavors to meld together. Cook the pork chops on low heat for at least 6-8 hours, or until they are fall-off-the-bone tender.
  • Sear the pork chops before serving: Searing the pork chops in a hot skillet before serving adds a nice caramelized crust and extra flavor.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Peking pork chops pair well with a variety of sides, such as steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or stir-fried noodles.

Conclusion:

Peking pork chops made in a slow cooker are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for busy weeknights. The pork chops are tender, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone, thanks to the slow cooking process. The marinade infuses the pork chops with delicious flavors, and the searing before serving adds a nice caramelized crust. Serve the pork chops with your favorite sides for a complete and satisfying meal.
