Tips:
- Use a food processor to chop the pecans. This will save you time and energy, and it will also ensure that the pecans are evenly chopped.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the dough tough. Mix it just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will make the dough easier to handle and will prevent it from shrinking in the oven.
- Bake the squares for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Let the squares cool completely before cutting them into bars. This will help to prevent them from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Pecan pie squares are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With their buttery crust, sweet filling, and crunchy pecans, these squares are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a special treat, give pecan pie squares a try. You won't be disappointed!
