Time 1h

Yield 12 tarts

Number Of Ingredients 8

Feuille de'Bric or phyllo dough
4 fresh white figs, in syrup
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 egg
Kosher salt
Ground black pepper
1 teaspoon black fig syrup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Cut Feuille de' Bric sheets into 2 1/2-inch squares, spray with pan spray and crisscross in muffin tins. Bake until golden brown, let cool and remove from pan.
  • In a medium bowl mix figs removed from the syrup with mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and 1 large egg. Mix on slow speed until figs are well broken. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Fill tart shell 3/4 of the way and bake for 20 minutes or until filling is firm. Garnish with black fig syrup and serve warm.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best results. This is especially important for the pecans, figs, and butter.
  • Toast the pecans before using them to enhance their flavor. You can do this in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, or in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • If you don't have macaroon mix, you can make your own by combining 1 cup of finely ground almonds, 1 cup of powdered sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • Be sure to chill the dough before rolling it out. This will help to prevent it from sticking to the work surface and make it easier to handle.
  • When baking the tart, keep an eye on it so that the crust does not overcook. The edges should be golden brown and the center should be set.
  • Let the tart cool completely before serving. This will help to prevent the filling from running out.

Conclusion:

This pecan macaroon and fig tart is a delicious and elegant dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet, nutty pecans, chewy macaroons, and juicy figs is sure to please everyone. With its beautiful presentation and irresistible flavor, this tart is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
