Steps:
- In a large mixing bowl, gently stir together the peas, bacon, red onion, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, mayonnaise, and pickle brine or vinegar until evenly combined. Gently toss in the cooked pasta until everything is evenly distributed. Serve immediately, or (preferably) put in a tupperware, Gladware, or other tightly covered container in the refrigerator to give the flavours a chance to meld for an hour but up to three days prior to serving. Give it a gentle stir from top to bottom before serving. If the pasta soaks up the dressing and it seems a bit dry, stir in a little extra mayonnaise or add ranch dressing, 1 tablespoon at a time until the dressing reaches desired consistency.
CREAMY PASTA SALAD WITH BACON AND PEAS
There's nothing like a cold pasta shell that's coated in a luscious, silky blanket of bliss. But instead of full-on mayo, I swapped in half Greek yogurt for some subtle tang. It is so good. Perfect for a neighborhood potluck. Divine for quick lunches throughout the week.

CREAMY PASTA WITH SMOKED BACON AND PEAS
This elegant riff on a childhood favorite came to The Times in 2009 by way of Jamie Oliver, the British chef and cookbook author. It was featured in his cookbook "Jamie's Food Revolution: Rediscover How to Cook Simple, Delicious, Affordable Meals," and it's a favorite of his daughters, Poppy and Daisy. It's wholesome (no powdered cheese!), and it can be ready in about 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted to a boil. Meanwhile, cut sliced bacon crosswise into thin slivers, or slice pancetta into julienne. Add pasta to boiling water and cook to taste.
- While pasta is cooking, place a large skillet over medium heat, and add 2 tablespoons olive oil and the butter. Add bacon or pancetta and a sprinkling of pepper, and fry until golden and crisp. Immediately add frozen peas and stir for a minute or two. Add crème fraîche or heavy cream and chopped mint.
- Reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water, and drain the pasta. Add pasta to the skillet and stir. Add lemon juice, and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. The mixture should be thick; if desired, a splash of the pasta water may be added to the sauce to thin it slightly. Add Parmesan and stir to mix. If desired, serve with a green salad.

PEAS, PASTA & BACON SALAD
When the temperature soars in the summer I can't face hot meals and serve nothing but assortments of salads, cheese and cold cuts for days on end. I value "main course" salads that will keep in the fridge from one meal to the next, and this one fits the bill. Fresh peas are quite amazing, but expensive and time consuming to shell. Frozen ones are not the same, but perfectly fine. If you use frozen peas, prep time will be much quicker. I have a big crop of snow peas this year; I think I will try them in this salad.

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your salad. Look for crisp peas, flavorful bacon, and a tangy dressing.
- Don't overcook the pasta: Pasta should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will help it hold its shape and prevent it from becoming mushy in the salad.
- Let the salad cool before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the salad to set. You can also make the salad ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before serving.
- Use a variety of textures: The combination of crisp peas, smoky bacon, and tender pasta creates a delicious and satisfying salad. You can also add other vegetables, such as chopped red onion or bell pepper, for even more texture and flavor.
- Experiment with different dressings: The dressing in this recipe is a simple vinaigrette, but you can use any type of dressing you like. Try a creamy ranch dressing, a tangy lemon-herb dressing, or a sweet and tangy honey mustard dressing.
Conclusion:
Peas, pasta, bacon salad is a delicious and easy-to-make salad that is perfect for a summer picnic or potluck. With its combination of fresh peas, flavorful bacon, and tender pasta, this salad is sure to be a hit with everyone.
