PEAR & BRIE QUESADILLA

Pear & Brie Quesadilla image

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (10 inch) flour tortillas
2 ounces Brie cheese, sliced
1 pear, cored and thinly sliced
1 Tablespoon of butter
1 pinch ground nutmeg
salt to taste

Steps:

  • Heat long griddle until hot. I like mine around 300 -325* Butter both tortillas on one side each. Place both tortillas, butter side down on the griddle. Working quickly, on one tortilla lay out your slices of brie. Place pears on top of Brie. Sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg on top of pears. When quesadillas are a nice golden color, take the empty single tortilla, flip it over and lay it on top of your pear slices. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 1 - 2 minutes. Slice quesadilla and serve immediately.

Found this in an add from the local food co-op today. Knowing how DH tosses out adds thought I had better post for safe keeping.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe pears for the best flavor. Overripe pears will be too soft and mushy, while underripe pears will be too hard and tart.
  • Use a good quality Brie cheese. A good Brie cheese will be creamy and flavorful. Avoid Brie that is hard or crumbly.
  • Slice the pears and cheese thinly. This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • Use a large skillet or griddle to cook the quesadillas. This will help prevent them from sticking.
  • Cook the quesadillas over medium heat. This will help them cook evenly without burning.
  • Serve the quesadillas immediately. They are best when they are hot and crispy.

Conclusion:

Pear brie quesadillas are a delicious and easy appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a quick and easy meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a tasty and satisfying dish that everyone will love.
