PEANUT BUTTER TRIFLE
This is something I put together on the fly. It tastes just like a peanut butter cup so if you love Reese's® you are going to love this dessert. You can even make this pretty low fat using sugar-free pudding and fat-free cool whip.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TRIFLE
This recipe is modified from a chocolate peanut butter pie recipe my teenage son and I found in a magazine. The pie tasted awesome but we could never get it to set up right, no matter how we tried. I've made this for several gatherings and it's always a big hit. I use pound cake but you could also use angel food cake or even brownies if you want a serious chocolate fix. Super easy to make. A great recipe for kids to help with or teens to make by themselves. My teenage son always gets a kick out of making something that people give him so many compliments on.

Steps:
- Beat pudding mix and milk until thickened. Add peanut butter and vanilla, then mix until combined. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream. Place half of brownies in bottom of trifle dish. Sprinkle with 16 coarsely chopped bite-sized Reese's cups. Spread half of pudding mixture on top. Repeat layers. Top with last cup of whipped cream and remaining 8 bite-sized Reese's cups for garnish. Chill at least 6 hours before serving. *Option: Add a 10-ounce bag of peanut butter baking chips to brownie batter. **Homemade whipped cream: with an electric mixer, beat cream with 2 tablespoons sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla until soft peaks form.
Tips:
- Choose quality ingredients: Use creamy peanut butter, fresh cream, and ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Don't overbeat the whipped cream: Overbeaten whipped cream can become grainy and lose its light and fluffy texture.
- Layer the ingredients carefully: Be careful not to press down too hard on the layers, or you'll end up with a mushy trifle.
- Chill the trifle before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.
- Serve the trifle with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of chopped nuts: This will add a finishing touch of flavor and elegance.
Conclusion:
Peanut Butter Trifle is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make, delicious, and always a crowd-pleaser. With its layers of peanut butter mousse, banana slices, chocolate wafers, and whipped cream, this trifle is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
