STUFFED BELL PEPPERS SOUTHWEST STYLE SANDRA LEE, SEMI-HOMEMADE

Stuffed Bell Peppers Southwest Style Sandra Lee, Semi-Homemade image

This recipe is for stuffed bell peppers southwest style. It is from Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade magazine August/Sept. 2009. It is delicious and filling. The kids enjoyed it too. It is fast and to table in no time. If you want a bigger kick use hot sausage if not use mild. If you can't find McCormick Grill Mates mix, I found a generic in the packet section of the local supermarket. Beware you might have extra filling depending on your pepper size so buy another pepper or save the filling and serve as leftovers the next day. Good stuff. Enjoy! ChefDLH

BUFFALO POPPERS - FROM SEMI-HOMEMADE W/ SANDRA LEE

Buffalo Poppers - from Semi-Homemade W/ Sandra Lee image

These looked so yummy on her show. I love they used honey instead of butter for a more healthful version of a classic. Note --- These are SUPER hot! I love spicy food and they were a bit spicy for me. Cut down the hot sauce/add extra honey if you're looking for a more "mild" flavor. :)

Tips:

  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: Opt for fresh, natural peanut butter that contains only peanuts and salt. Use good quality semisweet chocolate for the ganache and a flaky pie crust for the best results.
  • Make the Ganache in Advance: The ganache needs time to chill and thicken, so it's best to make it at least 4 hours or overnight before assembling the pie.
  • Don't Overmix the Pie Filling: Overmixing can cause the filling to become dense and crumbly. Mix just until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Chill the Pie Before Serving: Chilling the pie helps the filling set and makes it easier to slice. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Conclusion:

This peanut butter pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that's perfect for any occasion. With its creamy peanut butter filling, rich chocolate ganache, and flaky pie crust, this pie is sure to be a hit. Follow the tips above to ensure your pie turns out perfectly. Enjoy!
