3/4 c butter or margarine, softened
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2/3 c peanut butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c california dried figs, chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)the pepper will open the palate which will make the components of this cookie more pronounced.
1/2 c additional sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2 1/4 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 c butter, melted
1 c peanut butter
2 large eggs
OOEY GOOEY MIXTURE
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2. Combine dry ingredients and sift into a large mixing bowl; add melted butter, peanut butter, and eggs. Mix until it forms a dough and is somewhat crumbly.
  • 3. Press mixture into a 9X13 pan reserving about 1 1/2 cups of the mixture to be crumbled on top.

This is a good summer treat, and can be frozen for a while. Thaw at least a few hours before eating in the fridge or an hour before on the counter.

1/2 cup milk
hot fudge
