DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS RECIPE BY TASTY

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: natural peanut butter, almond flour, honey, vanilla extract, dark chocolate chip

Provided by Joey Firoben

Categories     Desserts

Yield 12 balls

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup natural peanut butter, no-stir, if the peanut butter separates the balls may become too loose
1 cup almond flour
⅓ cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup dark chocolate chip

Steps:

  • NOTE: For this recipe, be sure to use a no-stir, all-natural peanut butter. Using a natural peanut butter that separates may cause the ball mixture to be too loose.
  • In a medium bowl, add together the peanut butter, almond flour, honey, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix until the mixture thickens and sticks together.
  • Roll the mixture into balls half an inch (1 ¼ cm) in diameter.
  • In a small bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave no more than 15 seconds at a time.
  • Using a spoon or fork, dip the peanut butter balls in the melted chocolate and toss to fully coat.
  • Transfer the balls to a wax or parchment paper-lined baking sheet and refrigerate at least one hour.
  • Enjoy!

CRISPY CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PRETZEL BALLS

Crispy Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls image

These are absolutely addictive! Sweet and salty with lots of crunch, and very easy to make. These should probably be stored in the fridge to keep from going soft or you could probably coat in an extra layer of chocolate if you wanted to go through the trouble.

Provided by C. Taylor

Categories     Candy

Time 10m

Yield 60-70 balls

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup pretzel (crushed into little pieces)
3 cups crispy rice cereal (rice crispies)

Steps:

  • In a double boiler or microwave (on 50 % power, in a large bowl) melt the chocolate and peanut butter. If microwaving, start with a minute and then add additional time (30 secs at a time, mixing in between) until melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
  • Mix in the pretzels and rice cereal until everything is coated and well incorporated.
  • Drop by the teaspoonful onto a lined cookie sheet and place in the fridge. Once hardened, you can transfer to a bag or container. These are best stored in the fridge.

NO BAKE CHOCOLATE COVERED PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

No Bake Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls image

These are one of my family favorites.

Provided by LINDA BAILEY

Categories     Nuts

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 6

(1) 18oz jar(s) of smooth or chunky peanut buter - i prefer smooth
(1) 16oz bag(s) of confectioners sugar
1/4 c butter, melted
chocolate almond bark or
chocolate candy melts or
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, stir together the peanut butter, confectioners sugar and melted butter until the mixture is crumbly. For the next step, the best way that I've found to make a smooth filling is to use your hands to mix everything together.
  • 2. Line a baking sheet with foil. Roll the peanut butter filling into 1 inch balls and line the baking sheet with rows of the balls. Set the baking sheet in the freezer for 5-7 minutes to chill the peanut butter balls for easier dipping.
  • 3. While the peanut butter balls are chilling, melt the chocolate in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl that is deep enough for dipping. I melted 6 blocks of chocolate almond bark at a time, stirring at 45 second intervals until smooth.
  • 4. Remove the baking sheet from the freezer. Insert a toothpick or wooden skewer into a peanut butter ball and then dip it into the chocolate, turning quickly to cover the entire candy.
  • 5. Place onto a second baking tray that has also been lined with foil. Swirl the chocolate on the top of each candy for a pretty design. Refrigerate until the chocolate had completely dried. Store the candies in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls image

I adopted this recipe from the RecipeZaar account. I have not had a chance to make this myself. If you are finding that your chocolate is going to hard, melt in a tbsp (or maybe even less) of shortening. That will make the chocolate stay soft. I got that trick from Recipe #89167.

Provided by Saturn

Categories     Candy

Time 2h5m

Yield 40 candies

Number Of Ingredients 5

3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup creamy peanut butter
16 ounces semisweet chocolate or 16 ounces bittersweet chocolate

Steps:

  • In a bowl stir together the brown sugar, 1/2 stick of butter, the graham cracker crumbs, and the peanut butter until the mixture is smooth and chill the mixture, covered, for 1 hour, or until it is firm enough to form into balls.
  • Form teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls and transfer the balls as they are formed to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper- chill well or freeze until firm (makes dipping a lot easier).
  • In a metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water melt the chocolate, stirring until smooth, and let the chocolate cool.
  • Dip the balls into the chocolate mixture with a fork, coating them well and letting the excess drip off, transfer them as they are coated to the baking sheet, and chill them, covered loosely, for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • (The balls may be double-dipped if desired.).

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PRETZEL BALLS

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PRETZEL BALLS image

Categories     Chocolate     Dessert     Freeze/Chill

Yield 22 balls

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 C pretzels
1/2 C creamy peanut butter
1 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp salt
3 Tbsp powdered sugar
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Crush pretzels into small bits. (I tried this first by bashing the pretzels in a baggie. Then I tried chopping them in a food processor. The results were mostly the same, though I felt I had more control with the baggie method.) In a small bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, brown sugar and salt. Stir until all ingredients are completely blended and smooth. Add pretzel bits to peanut butter mixture and mix thoroughly. Add powdered sugar and, again, mix thoroughly. Prepare a chilling tray--a dinner plate covered with waxed paper works well. Take about a teaspoon of the peanut butter pretzel mixture into your fingers and gently pat it into a ball with your fingertips. If the peanut butter starts sticking to your fingers, your fingers are too warm. Run your fingers under cold water for a minute to chill them, and begin rolling again. Place the peanut butter balls onto the plate. When you have rolled all the balls, place the entire plate into the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes. After the peanut butter balls have chilled, prepare your chocolate. Pour the chocolate chips into a small microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. If needed, microwave for another 10 seconds and stir again. Continue until the chips are completely melted, which means they stir easily into smooth, fluid chocolate with no lumps. Place one peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate and gently roll it around with a fork until completely coated. Remove from the bowl with the fork and place back on the waxed paper plate. Repeat for all other balls. Once all the peanut butter balls are coated in chocolate, return the plate to the refrigerator and chill another 30 minutes.

Yield Makes abut 40 chocolate peanut butter balls

Number Of Ingredients 5

3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup creamy peanut butter
a 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a bowl stir together the brown sugar, 1/2 stick of the butter, the graham cracker crumbs, and the peanut butter until the mixture is smooth and chill the mixture, covered, for 1 hour, or until it is firm enough to form into balls. Form teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls and transfer the balls as they are formed to a baking sheet lined with wax paper. In a metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water melt the chocolate chips with the remaining 3/4 stick butter, stirring until the mixture is smooth, and let the chocolate mixture cool. Dip the balls into the chocolate mixture with a fork, coating them well and letting the excess drip off, transfer them as they are coated to the baking sheet, and chill them, covered loosely, for at least 1 hour or overnight. (The balls may be double-dipped if desired.)

Tips:

  • Use creamy peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter will give the balls a smooth and creamy texture. If you only have chunky peanut butter, you can use a food processor to blend it until smooth.
  • Chill the peanut butter mixture before rolling: This will help the balls to hold their shape better.
  • Use a small cookie scoop to measure out the peanut butter mixture: This will help to ensure that the balls are all the same size.
  • Roll the balls in chopped nuts or sprinkles: This will add a fun and festive touch.
  • Store the balls in the refrigerator or freezer: They will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.

Conclusion:

These peanut butter chocolate balls are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover peanut butter. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a batch of these delicious balls that are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
