Now that the peach season is here, this recipe is really good for using those fresh peaches. When the season is over, just use canned peaches for the same delicious bread. This was a big hit at our Tennis Round Robin Day. I like using a mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, juicy peaches. This will ensure that your bread has the best flavor.
  • Peel and chop the peaches before adding them to the batter. This will help them to distribute evenly and prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the loaf.
  • Use a combination of all-purpose flour and self-rising flour. This will give your bread a light and fluffy texture.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make your bread tough.
  • Bake the bread in a loaf pan that has been greased and floured. This will help to prevent the bread from sticking.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing it. This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.
