PEACHES N' CREAM COBBLER PIE RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Peaches n' Cream Cobbler Pie Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by á-25138

Number Of Ingredients 15

3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon. baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (3 1/4 ounce) package dry Jell-O vanilla pudding & pie filling, not instant
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 (15 ounce) cans sliced peaches, I use 1 and 1/2 of the cans. If you are lucky enough to have your own canned peaches, or fresh peach slices, use them drained, saving 4 tablespoons of the juices.
1 tablespoon brown sugar
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 teaspoons sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a springform pan with nonstick spray, or butter it well. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, Jell-O pudding, butter, egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat with a hand mixer for about 2-3 minutes until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Pour into pan. Gently place peach slices in batter. You can use as many as you like and place them however you wish I like to place them in a circular form. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Set aside. In medium bowl, use a hand mixer to blend the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and reserved peach juice until smooth. Spread evenly over the peach layer leaving about a 1-inch space around edge of pan. Mix the cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle over the top. Bake for about 30-40 minutes. The middle of the pie won't be completely firm (it will jiggle a bit when you shake the pan), but will firm up as it cools. Cool and refrigerate for a few hours until ready to serve. Serve with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.

Posted by request. This cobbler is a "dump" recipe and the juices of the pineapple and frozen peaches mixes with the cake mix while baking to form a cake layer that is both gooey and crispy on top. It is a recipe from a local PBS cooking show QED cooks.

EASY SUMMER PEACHES & CREAM COBBLER

Easy Summer Peaches & Cream Cobbler image

Since our usual Farmers Market near the house hasn't opened yet, I bought Sweet southern peaches at a local store that sells only local farms' fruits & veggies, & decided to make a simple cobbler. I've always loved peaches served in a bowl w/ a drizzle of real cream & decided to make it into an easy cobbler. It was a smile...

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 c melted butter
1-1/2 c sugar
1 c self rising flour
1small pinch salt
1 c light cream
2 c fresh sweet southern peaches, washed and sliced slightly thin

Steps:

  • 1. In large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and 1/2 cup of the sugar. Whisk in the light cream just until a little smooth, ( there may be a few lumps, that's o.k. u don't want to over mix this.)
  • 2. Heat oven to 350 and spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ olive oil cooking spray or u can rub some Crisco into the bottom and up the sides of the pan. Pour the whisked mix into pan, even it out w/ a spatula.
  • 3. Spoon peaches evenly over batter, do NOT stir. Sprinkle the top of peaches w/ remaining 1 cup of sugar. Bake 1 hr or until light brown and bubbly. I would check it at 45 minutes, just because everyone's stoves are different & in fact my cobbler took 50 mins. I would serve w/ homemade whipped cream or just drizzle w/ more light cream. Best served warm.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe peaches: This will ensure the best flavor and texture in your cobbler.
  • Peel the peaches before slicing them: This will make it easier to eat the cobbler and will also help to prevent the skins from toughening up during baking.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the batter tough. Just mix until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Bake the cobbler until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This will ensure that the cobbler is cooked through.
  • Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving: This will allow the filling to set and will make it easier to scoop.

Conclusion:

Peaches and cream cobbler is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and loved by everyone. With its sweet and juicy peaches, creamy filling, and buttery crust, this cobbler is sure to be a hit at your next gathering. So next time you have a craving for something sweet, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
