8 boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1/2-inch strips
1/2 cup melted butter
marinara sauce or honey mustard, for dipping

Steps:

1 cup onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano
1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
3 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 (16-oz) package bow tie pasta, cooked according to package directions and kept warm

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F. Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a very large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 6 minutes or until onion is tender.
