SWEET CHICKEN BACON WRAPS (PAULA DEEN)
Hey you Paula Deen fans, she has a new magazine, "Cooking with Paula Deen"--this recipe is from the premier issue. It was so yummy looking, I couldn't wait to try it. I added another 15 minutes to the cooking time suggested (30-35 minutes) and It was just right, but oven temperatures vary, so check on it during the last few minutes of cooking time. I'm also going to add a few dashes of cayenne pepper next time for something hot and sweet!

Dip the chicken cubes into the egg mixture and then dredge them in the chips. Place the chicken nuggets on a baking sheet and drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown. The chicken nuggets can be frozen after baking. Serve with your favorite sauce, such as honey mustard or ranch dressing.
SOUR CREAM & ONION CHICKEN NUGGETS
I saw this recipe on an episode of Paula Deen's show and tweaked it to make it a bit easier. These nuggets can be made for dinner or even served as appetizers for a party. I've found that regular sc&o chips work better than rippled ones, but you can use either. Also if you bread the chicken in a large ziploc bag clean up is SO much faster. You could also use a cooking spray instead of the butter. Enjoy!!

CHICKEN NUGGETS WITH HONEY MUSTARD DIPPING SAUCE
Easy, tasty morsels. The chicken nuggets can be frozen after baking. Serve with your favorite sauce, such as honey mustard or ranch dressing. I like to make the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce the day before so flavors blend. From Paula's Home Cooking.

PAULA DEEN'S CHICKEN NUGGETS
These look wonderful and easy because they're baked, not fried, and they get their flavor from sour-cream-and-onion-flavored potato chips. What an idea! Paula says to serve them with her Honey Mustard Sauce, which I have also posted. She also says that they can be frozen after baking.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Spread the crushed potato chips in a shallow dish. Beat together the egg and milk in a shallow bowl. Dip the chicken cubes into the egg mixture and then dredge them in the chips.
- Place the chicken nuggets on a baking sheet and drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Tips:
- Make sure to use boneless, skinless chicken breasts to ensure that the nuggets are tender and juicy. If using chicken with bones or skin, remove them before cutting the chicken into pieces.
- To achieve a crispy coating, use a combination of flour, cornstarch, and spices. This mixture will help the nuggets brown evenly and give them a delicious crunch.
- The buttermilk marinade helps to tenderize the chicken and gives it a slightly tangy flavor. If you don't have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes before using.
- Be sure to preheat the oil to the correct temperature before frying the nuggets. The ideal temperature is 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If the oil is too hot, the nuggets will burn; if it's too cold, they won't cook through.
- Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the nuggets. This will cause the oil temperature to drop and the nuggets will not cook evenly. Fry the nuggets in batches if necessary.
- Drain the nuggets on paper towels to remove any excess oil before serving. This will help to keep them crispy.
Conclusion:
Paula Deen's Chicken Nuggets are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. With a crispy coating, tender and juicy chicken, and a slightly tangy flavor, these nuggets are sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, give these nuggets a try. You won't be disappointed!
