Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 3

prepared pie crust
abt. 1 1/2 can(s) cherry pie filling
abt. 1/2 can(s) blueberry pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare the lower pie crust and fill with the cherry pie filling and blueberry pie filling to resemble the flag. Use a spatula to keep the fillings separate.
  • 2. Use a star cookie cutter for the stars and cut strips to make the flag. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with a little sugar
  • 3. Bake according to the pie filling directions. So EASY and a fun pie to make!

Tips:

  • Use a pre-made pie crust to save time. If you're short on time, you can use a store-bought pie crust. Just be sure to thaw it according to the package directions before filling it.
  • Use fresh, ripe berries. The fresher the berries, the better your pie will taste. If you can, try to use berries that are in season.
  • Don't overfill the pie crust. If you overfill the pie crust, the filling will bubble over and make a mess. Leave about 1/2 inch of space between the filling and the top of the pie crust.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pie. Overcooked pie filling will be runny and bland. Bake the pie until the filling is just bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
  • Let the pie cool before serving. This will give the filling time to set and the pie will be easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Patriotic pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any summer celebration. With its red, white, and blue filling, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a festive dessert, give this patriotic pie a try. You won't be disappointed!
