Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. Fresh peas, prosciutto, and lettuce will make all the difference in this dish. If you can, use organic ingredients whenever possible.
  • Don't overcook the pasta. Cook the pasta according to the package directions, or until it is al dente. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Reserve some of the pasta cooking water. You can use this water to thin out the sauce, if necessary. It will also help to add flavor to the dish.
  • Don't crowd the pan when cooking the prosciutto. If you do, the prosciutto will steam instead of crisp up. Cook the prosciutto in a single layer in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the peas and lettuce at the end of cooking. This will help them to retain their color and flavor.
  • Season the dish to taste. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice or a dollop of crème fraîche, if desired.

Conclusion:

Pasta with peas, prosciutto, and lettuce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham or prosciutto. With its vibrant colors and flavors, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
