Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh asparagus, flavorful ham, and a good quality pasta. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will also add a lot of flavor to the dish.
  • Cook the asparagus properly: Asparagus should be cooked until tender-crisp. Overcooked asparagus will be mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the asparagus, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the asparagus from cooking evenly.
  • Use a large skillet: When cooking the pasta, use a large skillet so that the pasta has plenty of room to cook.
  • Don't rinse the pasta: After cooking the pasta, don't rinse it. Rinsing the pasta will remove the starch, which is what helps the sauce stick to the pasta.
  • Add the sauce to the pasta immediately: After draining the pasta, add the sauce to the pasta immediately. This will help the sauce adhere to the pasta.
  • Serve the pasta with grated Parmesan cheese: Serve the pasta with grated Parmesan cheese on top. This will add a delicious cheesy flavor to the dish.

Conclusion:

Pasta with ham and asparagus is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of ham, asparagus, and Parmesan cheese creates a flavorful and satisfying dish that the whole family will enjoy. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious and elegant meal on the table in under 30 minutes.
