CLAM PASTA WITH BASIL AND HOT PEPPER
The beauty of this dish is that the clams can be steamed in the time it takes to cook the pasta, so the whole affair can be put together quite rapidly. High heat and a covered pot will have the shells open in minutes.

Steps:
- Make the purée: Grind basil and parsley together in a food processor. (Alternatively, hand chop herbs or pound them in a mortar.) Add garlic paste and 1/4 cup olive oil and pulse to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a rapid boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions, taking care to keep pasta quite al dente. It's best to use a timer, and drain pasta as soon as it's done.
- While pasta is cooking, heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a heavy-bottomed wide pot with a lid over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic, fennel seed if using and pepperoncino, and let sizzle without browning, about 1 minute. Add clams, stirring to coat with a wooden spoon. Raise heat to high, add wine and put on the lid. Cook, covered, until all clams have opened, 5 to 7 minutes. Turn off heat. (Discard any clams that fail to open.)
- Add cooked pasta and basil purée to pot and toss gently to combine. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with basil leaves and lemon wedges.

HOT DOG PASTA SALAD
The original recipe for this - which I've modified a bit - has been sitting in my computer recipe file for a long time - and I have no idea where it came from. At first I figured it was from the internet, but when I went looking with all my usual searching tools, I couldn't find it, so maybe it just showed up as an email virus attachment and parked itself in my recipe file, quietly waiting until I went insane enough to look for a salad recipe using hot dogs. Well, it happened one day last month and I decided to give it a go. I was sufficiently impressed with the results to share it with you. Oh, and kids seem to like this quite a lot as well. If you're going to serve it to little ones, make sure to cut the hot dogs up smaller (not just into circles) so as to avoid choking possiblities. Enjoy!

HOT PASTA SALAD
I know that pasta salads have had a bad rap, but I really like them. This one is delicious with fantastic lemon flavor, tuna and crisp veggies. Enjoy! (This recipe uses canned tune. I haven't tried using fresh tuna yet, but I will next time. I think maybe I'll grill it and slice it up, still pink... yum!) Derived from BBC's "Good Food" magazine (March 2007) with some variations.

HOT CHICKEN AND PASTA
This is a chicken and pasta stir fry that is a bit spicy. I don't find it to be too hot, but if you have a tender mouth, I'd skip the chili oil and reduce the crushed red peppers. I like to use spaghetti, but the original recipe called for linguine. Recipe torn out of a newspaper from St. Petersburg, FL....no author mentioned. The secret to making this recipe easy is to have everything chopped and placed in order of addition to the wok, so your cooking time flows easily and smoothly.

Tips:
- Choose the right pasta: Different pasta shapes hold sauce differently. For this recipe, a short pasta like penne or shells is a good choice.
- Cook the pasta al dente: Al dente means "to the tooth" in Italian. It refers to the texture of pasta that is cooked through but still has a slight bite to it. This will help the pasta hold up better to the sauce.
- Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is the star of this dish, so make sure it's packed with flavor. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own from scratch.
- Add some heat: The "hot" in the dish's name comes from the addition of red pepper flakes. You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes you use to taste, but don't be afraid to add a little bit of heat. It really brings the dish together.
- Top with your favorite toppings: Once the pasta is cooked and sauced, you can top it with your favorite toppings. Some popular options include grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and crumbled bacon.
Conclusion:
Pasta Hot Hot Hot is a quick and easy dish that is sure to please everyone at the table. With its simple ingredients and bold flavors, it's the perfect meal for a busy weeknight or a casual get-together. So next time you're looking for something delicious and satisfying, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
