4 cups farfel
6 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 (16 ounce) can peaches, chopped (save juice)
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple (save juice)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Steps:

  • Place farfel in large bowl and pour 1 cup of boiling juices, that were saved, over farfel, drain and cool.
  • Beat eggs. Add sugar and margarine. Beat again.
  • Add egg mixture to farfel.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 7 X 11 inch baking pan.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until golden brown.

1 pound matza farfel
boiling water
2 16 oz can sliced delmonte peaches***** ( use delmonte) - see note at bottem of recipe before shopping
7 large eggs
1 cup margerine, melted
1 cup sugar
2 T vanilla
sugar
cinnamon

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350 Place farfel in colander. Pour boing water over farfel drain and set aside. Drain peaches and reserve liquid. Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl until well blended. Beat in margerine, sugar, vanilla farfel and reserved liquid. Cut in several peach slices. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Place remaining peach slices on top pressing down slightly into batter to prevent burning. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake uncovered for 1 hour. **** - use can and 1/2 delmonte peaches but only juice of one can
