Tips:
- Use fresh snap peas: Fresh snap peas are sweeter and more tender than frozen or canned peas. If you can't find fresh snap peas, frozen peas will work in a pinch.
- Cook the snap peas briefly: Overcooking the snap peas will make them mushy. Cook them just until they are tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
- Use a good quality Parmesan cheese: The Parmesan cheese is one of the key ingredients in this dish, so it's important to use a good quality cheese. Look for a Parmesan cheese that is aged for at least 12 months.
- Add some red pepper flakes for a little spice: If you like a little spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. This will give the dish a little kick without being too overpowering.
- Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it is made. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and become soggy if it sits for too long.
Conclusion:
This Parmesan Snap Pea Pasta is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is packed with flavor. The bright green snap peas, salty Parmesan cheese, and creamy sauce come together to create a dish that is both delicious and satisfying. This recipe is also a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. The snap peas are hidden in the sauce, so they won't even know they're eating them.
