Tips:
- Use a kitchen scale to measure ingredients for precise baking.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water before adding it to the dough. This will activate the yeast and help the dough rise properly.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. This will help develop the gluten in the dough, which will give the pretzels their chewy texture.
- If the dough is too sticky to handle, add a little more flour. However, be careful not to add too much flour, as this can make the pretzels tough.
- Pretzels are traditionally boiled in a baking soda solution before being baked. This gives them their characteristic chewy texture and brown color.
- To make the parmesan pretzel rods, simply sprinkle the pretzels with grated parmesan cheese before baking.
- Pretzel rods can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
Parmesan pretzel rods are a delicious and easy-to-make snack that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover pizza dough.
