PARMESAN ENCRUSTED PINE NUTS

Parmesan Encrusted Pine Nuts image

The salad consisted of romaine lettuce, shredded Parmesan cheese, dressing, mixed croutons, and these pine nuts. They are sweet, savory, nutty, and delicious.

  • Toast the pine nuts before using them. This will enhance their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Use a good-quality Parmesan cheese. Grated Parmesan cheese is best, as it will adhere to the pine nuts better than shredded cheese.
  • Season the pine nuts with salt and pepper before coating them in Parmesan cheese. This will help to bring out their flavor.
  • Bake the pine nuts in a preheated oven. This will help them to cook evenly.
  • Let the pine nuts cool slightly before serving. This will help to prevent them from burning your mouth.
