1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
4 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil

Tips:

  • Choose the right halibut steak. Look for steaks that are about 1 inch thick and have a firm, slightly springy texture. Avoid steaks that are thin or have a mushy texture.
  • Season the halibut steak generously with salt and pepper. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed skillet to cook the halibut steak. This will help to prevent the fish from sticking to the pan and will also help to create a nice sear.
  • Cook the halibut steak over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through. The fish is cooked through when it flakes easily with a fork.
  • Serve the halibut steak immediately with the light green sauce. The sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Pan-fried halibut steak with light green sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The halibut steak is cooked to perfection and the light green sauce adds a bright and flavorful touch. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
