Tips:

  • Choose the Right Steak: Select a high-quality steak with good marbling for optimal flavor and tenderness. Ribeye, strip, and tenderloin are excellent choices for pan-broiling.
  • Tenderize the Steak: Before cooking, use a meat mallet or tenderizing tool to break down the muscle fibers and make the steak more tender.
  • Season Generously: Season the steak liberally with salt, pepper, and your preferred herbs and spices. This will enhance the natural flavors of the meat.
  • Heat the Pan Properly: Ensure your pan is sufficiently hot before adding the steak. A well-heated pan will sear the steak quickly, creating a flavorful crust and preventing it from sticking.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pan: Avoid overcrowding the pan with multiple steaks, as this will reduce the heat and result in uneven cooking.
  • Use a Meat Thermometer: To achieve your desired doneness level, use a meat thermometer to accurately measure the internal temperature of the steak.
  • Let the Steak Rest: After cooking, allow the steak to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
