1/2 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1/2 cup warm 2% milk (110° to 115°)
1/4 cup butter-flavored shortening
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
3 cups all-purpose flour

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the milk, shortening, sugar, salt, egg and 2 cups flour. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. ½ cup white sugar

3 eggs
¾ cup brown sugar

½ cup raisins
1 teaspoon light corn syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons half-and-half cream
