1 loaf (1 pound) cinnamon-raisin bread, cubed
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
8 large eggs, lightly beaten
1-1/2 cups half-and-half cream
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Place half of the bread cubes in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Top with cream cheese and remaining bread. , In a large bowl, whisk remaining ingredients. Pour over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight., Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 15-20 minutes longer or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

1 lb loaf of cinnamon/raisin bread or any other bread your choice
8 oz pkg. of cream cheese
8 large eggs
2 c half and half
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c maple syrup
2 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (optional) i love the flavor

Steps:

  • 1. Cube the cinnamon/raisin bread. Place 1/2 of the bread cubes in a greased 9" x 13" dish. Top with cream cheese and remaining bread.
  • 2. In a large bowl combine remaining ingred's. Pour over the top of the bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 3. In the morning...Remove from the fridge and allow to stand for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake covered for 30 minutes until knife inserted comes out clean. Dust with powder sugar.
  • 4. Warm syrup in pan over low heat or in microwave drizzle onto each serving. Enjoy!
