CITRUS GINGER INFUSED WATER
Aside from curing old sea limeys of scurvy for centuries, citrus gives us our electrolytes, vitamin C and cleanses our bodies as we all know, but Ginger on the other hand has a completely different arsenal in store for us. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory, nausea staving, cancer killing, digestion kicking, cold fighting, soar...

Steps:
- 1. Not adding water yet, slice lemon in halves and gently squeeze juice of one half of the lemon into the jar as not to completely destroy the half. Cut both the squeezed and the remaining half into thin rings no thicker than 1/4" and drop those in the jar as well.
- 2. Chop peeled ginger root into thin slivers to expose as much surface as possible and drop into the jar. Coin or stick shape will do fine.
- 3. Pour water over the lemons and ginger giving it a good stir and then let sit in the fridge for a minimum of 30 min. Overnight is best. Serve cold and often. Cheers!
- 4. ((Have fun with this concept. Adding scoops of melon, coins of cucumber, sprigs of mint, sprigs of parsley, orange slices and many other refreshing fruits, veggies or herbs will only make the water more exciting, refreshing and healthy.)) Do not add sugar!
GINGER-CITRUS CHICKEN THIGHS OFF THE GRILL
The marinade for these chicken thighs is fabulous! The fresh orange and ginger root are what really make it special. You taste the sweetness from the orange, balanced with some spice from the ginger and salty from the soy sauce. We marinated them overnight, and they were so juicy when they came off the grill.

CITRUS OVERNIGHT OATMEAL
Packed with protein and vitamin C, this easy make-ahead breakfast recipe was inspired by a childhood favorite, the Orange Julius. My "grown-up" but kid-friendly version is equally delicious, albeit a bit healthier, I imagine, with pure orange juice, egg white protein powder, fresh oranges and a sprinkle of sliced almonds.

Tips:
- Utilize Fresh Ingredients: Prioritize using fresh citrus fruits and ginger for optimal flavor. If fresh ginger is unavailable, substitute with 1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
- Zest Wisely: When zesting citrus fruits, avoid the white pith as it can impart a bitter taste. Use a fine grater or microplane to obtain the flavorful zest.
- Temperature Matters: Ensure the butter and eggs are at room temperature before mixing them with other ingredients. This allows for better emulsification and a smoother batter.
- Proper Mixing: Avoid overmixing the batter to prevent a tough texture. Mix until just combined to maintain a light and airy consistency.
- Baking Perfection: Bake the citrus ginger ring in a preheated oven to ensure even cooking and a golden-brown crust.
Conclusion:
An overnight citrus ginger ring offers a delightful balance of tangy citrus and warming ginger flavors. This stunning dessert is perfect for special occasions or weekend brunches. With its moist texture, vibrant glaze, and aromatic fragrance, it's sure to impress. The combination of citrus and ginger not only tantalizes the taste buds but also provides a boost of vitamin C and antioxidants.
