OVEN-MADE BEEF KABOBS WITH HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SAUCE
Well, we don't have a grill and to be honest I don't like all the fuss that comes with a grill. This is my version of beef kabobs with easy clean up. The homemade teriyaki sauce is so much better than store bought and you get to skip all the preservatives. This is wonderful in the summer but also great in the winter when...

Steps:
- 1. Marinade: Mix all ingredients of the marinade (water, soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and garlic powder) and put in a bowl or gallon-size ziplock. Cut beef into bit-size cubes (I use kitchen sears) and put in marinade. Let marinate, in the refrigerator, at least 1 hour or up to 8 hrs.
- 2. Prep: Take marinated meat out of the refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350. Place 15-20 wooden skewers in water to soak. While skewers are soaking, cut onion and peppers to bite size pieces. Drain pineapple pieces, reserving the juice to use later. Thread water soaked skewers alternating vegetables, pieces of meat, and pineapple chunks.
- 3. Cook Kabobs: Place the beef kabobs on a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, turn kabobs at the 15 minute mark.
- 4. Make Teriyaki Sauce: In a small sauce pan combine 1 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 T brown sugar, 2 T honey, 1/2 t ground ginger, 1/2 t garlic powder, 2 T cornstarch. Use a whisk to combine and head on med-high heat until bowling about 2 minutes, sauce will thicken. Add water if you want a thinner sauce. Remove from heat and add sesame seeds.
- 5. Serve: Serve over rice with teriyaki dipping sauce.

TERIYAKI BEEF KABOBS
The meat is so tender and juicy and has an excellent flavor. The cook time was right on for medium steak, IMHO. Revised just a little from the original TOF recipe. I did however, double the marinade, not in the recipe but when I made it, to make sure I got good coverage of the meat. The original only marinaded the meat for 1 hour, but I did it overnight and I think that make a big difference. Prep time does not include the time it takes to marinade.

Tips:
- Choose high-quality beef: Select tender cuts of beef, such as sirloin or ribeye, for the best kabobs. Look for meat with good marbling, as this will help keep the kabobs moist and flavorful during cooking.
- Marinate the beef: Marinating the beef helps tenderize it and infuse it with flavor. Use a flavorful marinade, such as the homemade teriyaki sauce provided in the recipe, for best results.
- Skewer the beef properly: When skewering the beef, make sure to thread the meat in a way that prevents it from falling off during cooking. Alternate pieces of beef with vegetables for a more colorful and flavorful kabob.
- Cook the kabobs over medium heat: Cooking the kabobs over medium heat helps prevent them from burning on the outside while ensuring that they are cooked thoroughly on the inside.
- Baste the kabobs with the teriyaki sauce: Basting the kabobs with the teriyaki sauce during cooking helps keep them moist and adds a delicious glaze.
