Tips:

  • Use Yukon Gold Potatoes: Yukon Gold potatoes are the best choice for this recipe because they are firm and hold their shape well. Avoid using russet potatoes, as they will become too soft and mushy.
  • Cut the Potatoes into Even-Sized Wedges: This will help them cook evenly. If the wedges are too thick, they will not cook through, and if they are too thin, they will become crispy and overcooked.
  • Toss the Potatoes in Olive Oil, Salt, and Pepper: This will help them to brown and crisp up in the oven. You can also add other seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Spread the Potatoes in a Single Layer on a Baking Sheet: This will allow them to cook evenly. If the potatoes are crowded on the baking sheet, they will steam instead of roast.
  • Roast the Potatoes at a High Temperature: This will help them to get crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The ideal temperature is 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Flip the Potatoes Halfway Through Cooking: This will ensure that they cook evenly on all sides.
  • Garnish with Fresh Rosemary: This will add a beautiful pop of color and flavor to the dish.

Conclusion:

Oven-fried rosemary potatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. With their crispy exterior and tender interior, these potatoes are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
