Steps:
- Heat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, 4 teaspoons salt, oregano, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper and a few grinds of black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the ribs and allow it to sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours at the most.

- Using a pair of tongs, flip and move the beef around a bit. Drizzle the honey evenly over the top of each rib. Place the ribs back in the oven, this time leaving it uncovered and cook another 10 to 15 minutes.

OVEN-BAKED SWEET BBQ CHOPS
These have a really good sweet onion BBQ sauce on them. At first I thought that 1/4 c. would be way too much onion, but it cooks in really well, and the sauce isn't overpowered by them at all. The original recipe called for this amount of sauce on 5 chops, but I usually only put in 3 chops (I'm not a fan of left-over meat and I'm only cooking for 2). If you were to make 5 chops, I would suggest doubling the sauce. Also, depending on the type of chop, you may not need to cook as long (I've used small boneless loin chops and they only took about 1 hr 15 min)

CUMIN SCENTED OVEN-BAKED RIBS WITH SWEET AND TANGY BBQ SAUCE
Provided by Kelsey Nixon
Time 3h25m

Steps:
- For the ribs: Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with foil, enough to fold over the ribs, approximately twice the size of the baking sheet.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the sugar, paprika, salt, chile powder, cumin, garlic powder and cinnamon. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the rub and set aside.
- Place the ribs on the prepared baking sheet. Generously sprinkle the ribs on both sides with the spice mixture. Really rub it in! Place the ribs meat-side down and fold the foil tightly around the ribs to make a sealed packet. Bake the ribs until they become pliable but not falling apart, 2 to 2 1/2 hours. You know the ribs are done when the meat pulls away from the bone. Once the ribs are tender, carefully pour off 1/2 cup of the accumulated juices into a bowl and reserve. Keep the ribs wrapped in the foil to keep warm.
- For the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the tomato puree, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, reserved rub and the garlic. Add 1/2 cup of the reserved cooking juices and bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes.
- Preheat a grill pan over high heat. Just before serving, slather the ribs with the tangy BBQ sauce and char them on the grill pan, basting them with the sauce and turning as they char up. (If you don't have a grill pan, you can slather them with sauce and stick them under the broiler to char.) Serve the ribs with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

SWEETIE PIE'S TENDER OVEN-BAKED ST. LOUIS-STYLE BBQ RIBS
Folks in St. Louis pride themselves on their ribs. You could say it's the city's signature dish. Growing up in the projects like we did, we didn't have a barbecue pit or a smoker, so when we wanted ribs, my mom came up with this way of doing them in the oven. Another way she'd make her ribs was to cut the rack into small slabs of two or three ribs, marinate and season them, and then fry them up-just like you'd do a pork chop. Serve with potato salad or mac and cheese.

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of meat: For oven BBQ, select a cut of meat that is well-marbled and has a good amount of fat, such as ribs, brisket, or pork shoulder. This will help the meat stay moist and flavorful during cooking.
- Prepare the meat properly: Before cooking, trim any excess fat from the meat and score the surface to help the marinade penetrate. You can also brine the meat overnight to help it retain moisture and flavor.
- Use a flavorful marinade or rub: The marinade or rub is what will give your oven BBQ its unique flavor. Experiment with different recipes to find one that you like. Be sure to let the meat marinate for at least several hours, or even overnight, to allow the flavors to fully penetrate.
- Cook the meat at a low temperature: Oven BBQ is all about low and slow cooking. Cook the meat at a low temperature (usually between 225 and 250 degrees Fahrenheit) for several hours, or until it is fall-off-the-bone tender. This will help the meat retain its moisture and flavor.
- Use a smoker box or liquid smoke: If you want to add a smoky flavor to your oven BBQ, you can use a smoker box or liquid smoke. A smoker box is a small container that you fill with wood chips and place in the oven. The wood chips will smolder and produce smoke that will flavor the meat. Liquid smoke is a concentrated form of smoke that you can add to the marinade or rub.
Conclusion:
Oven BBQ is a delicious and easy way to enjoy barbecue at home. By following these tips, you can create tender, flavorful oven BBQ that will impress your friends and family. So fire up your oven and get started today!
