3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 1/2 pounds chicken legs and thighs
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, paprika, chili powder and smoked paprika and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions soften, about 8 minutes. 1 tablespoon brown sugar (dark brown sugar, packed)
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 garlic clove (crushed)

4 large chicken breasts (boneless and skinless , about 6 oz. each)
1 tablespoon olive oil (this ingredient and the following ones are for the crumb topping.)
