1 (1 1/2 ounce) envelope Italian dressing (like Good Seasons)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (12 ounce) can cola

Steps:

  • Combine taco seasoning and Italian dressing mix.
  • Pierce steak with a fork, rub with oil and coat with the seasoning mix.
  • Pour the cola around the steak in a deep plastic or glass container, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.

1 cup good quality ale
2 teaspoons light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Marinate steak in the ale in a zip-top bag or plastic container for one hour in the refrigerator. Do not marinate overnight. Combine the brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well blended. Remove the steak from the marinade and rub the brown sugar mixture on both sides. Place on waxed paper and return to refrigerator for 30-60 minutes. To Cook: Heat a cast iron skillet, grill pan, or outdoor grill to medium high heat (greasing as needed). Cook steak to desired doneness.

Found this recipe in America's Most Wanted Recipes by Ron Douglas...there is already one posted but it is a little different and uses msg and this doesn't. It has a few more spices and is very delicious! Preparation time is also including the marinating and cooking time is to your doneness for grilling.

4 beef sirloin steaks, 1 1/2-2 inches thick about 6 oz. each
1 cup beer
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Place the steaks in a shallow pan, pour the beer over and marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Remove the steaks from the beer.
  • Combine the dry ingredients and rub over the steaks.
  • Let rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator -- better if you let sit overnight or for several hours!
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill the steaks to the desired degree of doneness. I usually use my George Foreman Grill. Eat and enjoy!

4 pieces top sirloin steaks or 4 pieces rib eye steaks
4 -6 teaspoons salt (depending on taste)
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric

Steps:

  • Mix together seasoning ingredients and rub into each side of steak.
  • Grill steaks on a large frying pan over medium-high heat; press down on steak with spatula or tongs to sear the edges.

1 cup beer
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon msg (sold under the label as Accent)
