JELLO OREO PUDDING PIE

Jello Oreo Pudding Pie image

I got it from a booklet a couple of years ago. I could not find the 1.oz oreo pudding. I could only find 4oz boxes. The directions to make a pie calls for 2 boxes and only 1 3/4 - 2 1/2 cups milk. The less milk will give the pie more thickness. I could not find a oreo crust when I made my pie so I made a homemade oreo crust. I spread the remaining cool whip over the oreo pie filling then I crusted a few oreos and sprinkled them over top of the cool whip. Then I halved 5 oreo's and decorated it like a pie bought from the store. M family thinks this is a yummy rich pie.

Oreo Pudding Pie is a delicious, no-bake chocolate dessert with just five ingredients. Creamy, chocolatey, Oreo heaven is literally just minutes away!

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
4 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip
16 Oreo cookies (divided)
1 (6 ounce) Oreo pie crust

Steps:

  • Make pudding according to directions on box using the milk listed in the ingredients.
  • Fold in the cool whip.
  • Crush 12 of the Oreo cookies and mix in.
  • Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  • Garnish with 4 Oreo cookies that have been broken into chunks.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tips:

  • Oreo Crust: Use a food processor to finely crush the Oreos for a smooth crust. For a richer chocolate flavor, use a combination of chocolate Oreos and regular Oreos.
  • Pudding Filling: To avoid lumps, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa powder in a bowl before adding to the milk. Use whole milk for a creamier, more decadent pudding.
  • Whipped Cream Topping: For a stiffer and more stable whipped cream, chill the whipping cream and beaters beforehand. If desired, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a tablespoon of powdered sugar for extra flavor.
  • Assembly: To ensure a neat and even pie, let the pudding filling cool and set slightly before pouring it onto the Oreo crust. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Conclusion:

With its rich and creamy pudding filling encased in a crunchy Oreo crust and topped with fluffy whipped cream, this Oreo Pudding Pie is a delightful dessert that will satisfy any sweet craving. Its simple ingredients and easy preparation make it perfect for both special occasions and casual gatherings. Whether you're a fan of Oreos or just love classic desserts, this pie is sure to become a favorite in your recipe collection.
